When god made this earth he filled it with aromas everywhere. But as human being came into existence and each revolution gets introduced the aroma gradually kept reducing.
Malodorous from dead body, smog & continuous growing industrialization took away that huge portion of god gifted aroma from us. Even in this era if we ignore metropolitan cities, some villages are still having natural aromas especially in the dawn & dusk..
Nature never ends its magic.
On one side they spread aromas with rose, jasmine, tuberose, lily, marigold, basil, eucalyptus in the day & Cestrum nocturnum, Nyctanthes arbortristis (Parijaat), and honeysuckle in the night.
I am not sure about the physiological reason behind this, but from spiritual standpoint nature never discriminate; be it humans, animals, insects. If rose, jasmine, lily is there for diurenal animal then night queen (Raat Raani) is for king of night.
