Before COVID-19 Hand Sanitizers were rarely used, now every single house has this as an important member of the family either in gel or spray forms.
It has lump-sum 60-90 % of alcohol or IPA in it with some preservative, moisturizing agent and fragrance.
Fragrance family which can perform well in Sanitizers are (even odorless sanitizer are also available in market) -
1. Citrus: Citrus family in itself has zesty-energetic character. Lemon, Orange, Grapefruit, Mandarin, and Lime can perform very well in sanitizer. They are not only to give diffusive, fresh, energetic note to sanitizer but also act as masking agent even at 0.1% Doge.
2. Fruity: In fruit category again fresh note is preferable, like Green Apple, Kiwi, Pear, and Guava. Try to avoid Sugary character while creating these fragrances; it may give sticky sugar character to sanitizer which no doubt customer will not like.
3. Aquatic-Marine: Aquatic note may perform very well in sanitizer, since visually sanitizer itself transparent watery gel, and aquatic note in that sanitizer is like ‘icing on the cake’.
4. Musk: White musk is all time my favorite fragrance, Musk together with sustainability add delicate, soothing character to sanitizer. Crystals of Tonalide add beautiful caring charter to sanitizer.
